Summer waters: flavored, fruity, or iced?

Water, Mason Jars, and a multitude of flavors: summer waters are popular this summer. There is something for every taste, from classic recipes to festive and colorful ones. Summer waters are an opportunity to refresh and effectively hydrate your body. But not only that! By carefully choosing the ingredients, you can enjoy specific benefits while pleasing your taste buds. Discover our summer water recipes and their beneficial effects for your health.

The classic: lemon mint flavored water

Everyone knows it. And everyone has already tried it.

This recipe is one of the most classic: water and lemon. Yellow lemon or lime? It depends on your taste, and the mix of both works wonderfully. As for preparing the lemon, you can choose all its forms: zest, pulp, juice, slice, or wedge. Some add only a few zests, while others squeeze it to enjoy all the acidity of its juice. For more sweetness, you can also let the wedges infuse.

Lemon is a citrus fruit rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and minerals, notably potassium and iron.

For those who like to add flavor, the classic is to make a lemon mint water. While it enhances freshness in the mouth, mint, especially peppermint, also brings many benefits to the body.

The fruity one: fruit-infused water

Add color and indulgence to your water with your favorite fruits!

Here too, the recipes can be very simple: a wedge of orange, a few blueberries, or pieces of strawberry.

Choose the seasonal fruits you prefer, wash them, cut them, and let them infuse for at least 30 minutes. Don't hesitate to diversify and mix fruits to vary the pleasures, but also the specific benefits of each fruit.

Indeed, by choosing certain fruits, you will bring targeted benefits to your body in addition to healthy hydration. But be careful, know that drinking fruit-infused waters won't necessarily give you a full dose of vitamins because the vitamins in fruits are only slightly soluble in water. However, bite into your fruits once the water is finished!

So no more reasons to hesitate: colorful, tasty, and beneficial, it's time to put plenty of fruit in your waters! And take the opportunity to snack on a few pieces while preparing them...

The iced one: flavored water and ice cubes

iced water ice cubes mintFor a hint of flavor and a nice dose of freshness, play with flavored or scented ice cubes. Fruits, vegetables, or aromatic herbs—the possibilities are endless.

To make fruit and vegetable ice cubes, the classics are cucumber and raspberry, but you can also add watermelon, blueberries, or citrus fruits. Rich in vitamins and minerals, the fruits and vegetables in your ice cubes provide targeted benefits and maximum freshness to your waters. Especially if you enjoy snacking on a few while preparing them.

To make aromatic herb ice cubes, you can use any herbs from your garden or that you find in the grocery store. Basil, mint, sage, lemon balm, coriander, rosemary, thyme, or lemongrass: you can create ice cubes with surprising notes. Moreover, aromatic herbs are known for several health benefits.

Don't know which ice cubes to choose? Why not mix fruits and aromatic herbs? Just pick some fruit or vegetable ice cubes and pair them with herb ice cubes. Strawberry – basil, Raspberry – rosemary, or Blueberry – lemongrass: here are some fruit-herb combinations we especially like.
